   When you get down to it …ADA Employees Credit Union is a lot of people pooling their resources for mutual benefit. Established in 1952, we are a state chartered credit union and operate under the laws of the State of Texas.  We are audited regularly by the Texas Credit Union Department.

WHAT ARE WE?

   Most members just call us the Credit Union.  We’re a cooperative financial institution formed by a number of people just like you.  People who need the kind of services only a good Credit Union can provide:

• Safe high yielding savings services
• Borrowing power at the lowest possible rate

   Even more important, ADA Employees Credit Union can usually provide these services at a better rate than banks because all profits, except for reserve requirements, are returned to you, the member, in the form of higher dividend rates on share deposits and interest rebates on loans.  We currently have variable share savings rates based on account balance.

OUR MEMBERS ARE THE BOSS!

   You’re the boss at AECU.  The members elect a board of directors who is responsible for operating the Credit Union.  This board of directors retains a general manager to perform the daily operations.

SAVE WHERE YOUR SAVINGS EARN MORE!

   When you save at AECU, you are really investing in a cooperative… and your interest is paid to you monthly.  But saving at AECU is much safer than investing in just any corporation, because each member’s account is insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the Federal Government.  In addition to a competitive annual dividend rate on savings, members of the AECU enjoy the convenience of saving by payroll deduction and, of course, cash deposits.  To keep our costs low and enforce a savings climate, we require a minimum balance of $100 after six months to earn interest.  Each member is allowed four free withdrawals per year.  Additional withdrawals are charged at $10 each.
